California’s New Climate Emergency Teaching Tool (MGP 2020)

The University of California’s Office of the President funded the creation of this ‘climate emergency teaching tool’ under the auspices of its Carbon Neutrality Initiative.

Richard Widick, PhD, sociologist and filmmaker at UCSB’s Orfalea Center for Global & International Studies, is a founding member of the creative team as well as the Project Lead, its Designer, and with Metroglobe Productions the writer, director, producer and editor of this introductory video. Devin Rice is the camera man and animator.

Widick launched the NXTerra project by screening a previous version of this film at the United Nations Framework Convention Conference of the Parties 19 (UNFCCC COP), convened in Madrid in December of 2019.
